- Marble Conservation at the Dominion Public Building, Hamilton Ontario, was published in the preprints of Symposium 2000; The Conservation of Heritage Interiors, a conference organized by Canadian Conservation Institute, in Ottawa, May 2000.
The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) is a Special Operating Agency within the Department of Canadian Heritage. The Institute was created in 1972 to promote the proper care and preservation of Canada's cultural heritage and to advance the practice, science, and technology of conservation.
Symposium 2000 - The Conservation of Heritage Interiors was conceived as a forum to examine the process of preserving heritage interiors from the many different perspectives of a project team, which can often include conservators, architects, curators, planners, and heritage trades. The aim was to bridge the gap in professional cultures that frequently exists in the complex work of preserving heritage architecture.
Rod Stewart's paper entitled Marble Conservation at the Dominion Public Building, Hamilton Ontario (PDF) was well received.
- Consolidation of Plain Face Plaster at Notre Dame Cathedral, Ottawa, Canada was presented at the Annual British Institute of Conservators meetings in London, UK April, 2005
